NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WBEN) - North Tonawanda is the latest buzzing site for John Krasinski's "A Quiet Place 2".
The film crew was scheduled to begin setup on Stenzil Street on Tuesday and continue to set up for the next several days. No word on when exactly filming will start, though it's not expected to last as long as it took to create the set.
"Has anybody ever heard of North Tonawanda?" Stenzil Street resident Kerri Reed said when asked the movie highlighting the local community on a big stage. "They've heard of Buffalo and Niagara Falls, but this is a small, little town. It'll be cool. It will put us on the map and gives us some recognition."

She hopes that the movie will highlight the quiet city where everyone knows each other.
"It's quiet so it kind of makes sense," Reed's neighbor Katie Yackamovich said. "I said 'Gosh, this is one of the quietest streets so it makes sense'. I'm so excited."
The movie could also offer a quick boost to the local restaurant industry. The crew is expected to park at the Gratwick Hose Volunteer Fire Company on nearby Ward Road and shuttle to the filming site. One restaurant nearby that could be popular with the crew because of its location along the waterfront is Lumberjack's Patio & Grill at 1000 River Road and is about one mile from the filming site.
"It's very exciting," Lumberjack's Patio & Grill owner and operator Carol Tallichet said. "It's not only exciting for the restaurant but also exciting for the community. I along with many other people will say we are so excited to have them here in Western New York."
Lumberjack's is a seasonal restaurant that's open four months during the summer. The restaurant is in its seventh season and is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
"We are a glorified hot dog and hamburger place," Tallichet said. "We do a lot of local (foods). We do Costanzo's Rolls, Wardynski's, Mineo & Sapio, Anderson's Ice Cream. We cater to the locals."
Tallichet hopes Hollywood can take away not just the food from the region, but also the people in the community.
