Cambria, NY (WBEN) A pedestrian died after being struck by a garbage truck Tuesday morning.
Deputies say a garbage truck operated by 35 year old Joseph F. Mangione of Niagara Falls, was traveling south on Cambria-Wilson Road when it struck 49 year old Robert S. Knibbs of Cambria, who was in the roadway in front of his own residence. Knibbs suffered head trauma as a result of the collision and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. Mangione who was uninjured in the collision, was treated at the scene and released.
