Tonawanda, NY (WBEN) Police in a number of communities are searching for a serial robber. They say the person is responsible for 11, including two Monday.

Police from the Town of Tonawanda, Amherst, Niagara Falls, Village of Kenmore, and Niagara County Sheriff’s Department are working in a cooperative effort to locate and arrest the person or person(s) involved in armed robberies of gas stations and convenience stores.

The most recent robberies occurred in the Town of Tonawanda on March 11th shortly after 6:30 a.m. and later that evening after 7:30 p.m., when an unknown white male wearing a dark hoodie and black ski mask entered the stores and displayed a handgun demanding cash. The morning robbery occurred at the SUNOCO A-plus located at 2546 Niagara Falls Blvd., and the second robbery occurred at the Red Apple located at 4205 Delaware Ave., in the Town of Tonawanda. An undetermined amount of cash was taken in both robberies and the suspect fled the stores on foot in an unknown direction.

The armed robberies are possibly linked to a similar suspect: a white male wearing a black ski type mask. On each occasion the disguised male enters the stores, displays a handgun and demands money.
