BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said that there appears to be a stabilization of hospitalizations related to coronavirus.

As of Monday, Erie County hospitals saw 243 hospitalizations for COVID-19. Poloncarz said that there is a slight growth, though not the "tremendous" growth from prior weeks.

Of the new cases, Poloncarz said the majority originate from group homes, an indication that the general public is following social distancing guidelines.

The death tally associated with coronavirus in Erie County is currently at 188.
