BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Flight 3407 memorial at the Clarence Public Library was rededicated on Tuesday afternoon.

With families of the 50 people who lost their lives in the crash in attendance, officials celebrated the civic memorial as more than "informational"

"It also remembers the first responders," Mike Powers, President of Remember Flight 3407, said. "It remembers law enforcement, the government agencies, the incredible work that all the families have done since that crash."

The memorial set up on Long Street is dedicated exclusively to those who lost their lives in the 2009 crash.

Powers said through the memorials and the work of the community, people will never forget.

Families of the Flight 3407 victims will gather again on Tuesday night for a ceremony.
