BUFFALO, NY (WBEN) - A man believed to be at the center of a string of robberies in Erie and Niagara Counties may have struck again, with the latest robbery location at the Dash's Market on Colvin Boulevard in Tonawanda.

Tonawanda Police told reporters in a news briefing on Wednesday morning that a white male entered the grocery store at 6:45 a.m. Employees were in the store when the man robbed it but there were no customers because the store didn't open for another 15 minutes.

In all of the robberies, the man shows his gun, demands money, and runs away. Haynes said no one in any of the robberies was hurt.

"(The robberies) span between two counties," Haynes explained. "The Town of Tonawanda has been involved several times. Also, the Town of Amherst, Village of Kenmore, Wheatfield, City of Niagara Falls, it's a pretty large area we're talking about here."

At least five different agencies are involved in the search.

Anybody with information about the man is asked to call:

  • Tonawanda Police Criminal Investigation Bureau: 879-6633
  • Niagara County Sheriff's Department: 438-3327
  • Kenmore Police Department: 875-4158
