Standoff In Niagara Falls

(WBEN)  Police in Niagara Falls were dealing with a standoff situtation overnight at Ferry Avenue and 19th Street. So far they have not released any information except to say it has come to an end early Sunday morning.

(WBEN)  Accident in Orchard Park yesterday required a Mercy Flight response.


It happened past 5 p.m. at Newton and Draudt roads A 55-year-old Eden man suffered serious injuries after his motorcycle was struck by a vehicle.

Orchard Park Police said the vehicle turned in front of two motorcycles at the scene.

Police said there were no charges at the time and that the incident remained under investigation.

Niagara Falls police say three people were shot early Saturday morning outside of a Niagara Street bar.

It happened at the Players Bar located at 328 Niagara Street.

One shot in the stomach, another in the right ankle and the third in the left thigh.

According to police the case is under investigation,

A wrong-way crash on the 33 last October has led to a guilty plea by a Buffalo man.

30-year-old Rodney Borden Jr of Buffalo pleaded guilty this week to First Degree Vehicular Assault. While drunk, Borden struck a woman's car head on near Locust Street. That woman was taken to ECMC and she continues to recover from serious injuries.

Borden will be sentenced in late-August. He faces up to seven years in prison
