Buffalo, NY (WBEN) SUNY Buffalo State announced Tuesday the commencement for 2020 seniors will be rescheduled.
School President Katherine Conway-Turner says the date and format of the ceremony has not yet been determined. "I wish I could provide you with a specific date and format now, but given the anticipated progression of the public health crisis we face, it would be premature to select a new date at this time. We will continue to evaluate information as we receive it and communicate a decision once we can better assess the situation," Conway-Turner tells seniors in a message.
Conway-Turner adds commencement is a cherished tradition, and "I remain fully committed to celebrating the achievements of our graduates with their families and our entire campus community. While I realize that some of you may not be able to attend in person once we establish a new date, we are exploring ways to celebrate you and your wonderful accomplishments in another format."
