Buffalo, NY (WBEN) It's Monday, but no one will blame you if you're working for the weekend already. Chances are you're working up an appetite for the Taste of Buffalo, the nation's largest two day food festival this weekend in downtown Buffalo.

"You can expect 55 restaurants and food trucks, six wineries, and 250 different menu items. There's something for everybody," says Erin Collins with the Taste of Buffalo

What one food item is she looking forward to sampling? "The fried chicken from Tops. It's a new item they'll serve at the Tops tent, breading and frying it on site," notes Collins.

Another new item is coming from Mineo and Sapio, a Chicago-inspired sandwich called Da Link. "Instead of our traditional classic sausage sandwich with onions and peppers, we're doing one topped with carmelized onions, honey mustard and a jardinata relish," says Michael Pierro.

The festival runs from 11am-9pm Saturday and 11am-7pm Sunday.
