(WBEN) - Tops Markets on Monday confirmed that one of the positive Erie County Coronavirus cases is an employee who works at the company's corporate office.
In a statement, Tops stressed that the employee worked out of its Williamsville corporate headquarters and has NOT had any interaction with Tops stores, warehouses, or other facilities.
"From its contact tracing and epidemiological investigation, ECDOH determined that this individual was not symptomatic during their time at the corporate office, and therefore did not pose a risk of transmission to other TOPS employees per CDC guidelines on COVID-19," read a statement released by the Erie County Department of Health. "Our investigation did not indicate that the individual had any contact with TOPS stores, warehouses or other facilities during times where they may have been contagious."
