Town of Tonawanda Pedestrian Footbridge to be Dismantled

Tonawanda, NY (WBEN) The pedestrian footbridge above Sheridan Drive between Delaware and Colvin will begin coming down Wednesday evening.

Work will occur during the evening hours and is expected to be completed in 2 days, but may be delayed due to poor weather conditions.

Detour signs will be posted to assist motorists and pedestrians with finding alternate routes of travel.

After rush hour, lanes of traffic will be reduced in both directions until the project begins.

Sidewalks in the area of the project and all lanes of traffic on Sheridan Drive between Colvin Boulevard and Delaware Road will be closed from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. 

Traffic will reopen to motorists and pedestrians at 6:00 a.m. each morning.
