Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Travel advisories are up in parts of WNY, and tractor trailers are not permitted on some highways during the lake effect storm.

A travel advisory is posted for northern Erie County, Niagara County, Genesee County and Niagara Falls.  Additionally, the Skyway and Route 5 complex is closed in both directions from Ridge Road to downtown Buffalo.

Tractor trailers and commercial buses are banned from the 190, 290, 400, the 219 from Peters Rd. to the 90, Rt. 5 from 179 to the 190, and the Thruway from Henrietta to the PA line until further notice.

Due to deteriorating conditions across northern @ErieCountyNY, I have issued a travel advisory against any unnecessary travel. Also @ErieCountyNY client visits for today are postponed & we have been advised all local Meals on Wheels will be closed and not delivering tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/K9rIObvr5R
