Cheektowaga, N.Y. (WBEN) - Emergency responders dealing with two motorcycle crashes in Western New York in the span of 12 hours.
Tuesday morning before 7am, a motorcycle went underneath a tractor trailer on Walden Avenue between Dick and Union Roads. Cheektowaga firefighters had to use special tools to extricate the victim from under the semi.
It happened around 7pm as 60 year old Michael Block was found unconscious, laying in a field on Sliker Road in the town of Pembroke.
He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
According to investigators, Block lost control of the vehicle and struck several trees.
Investigators found his helmet wedged in one of those trees.
