The coronavirus has put a crimp on personal plans - and on a larger scale has halted development on a number of projects in the works.  Among them developer Doug Jemal's work on Seneca One Tower, the Ellicott Development Co. and Sinatra & Co. Real Estate Co's. Elmwood Crossing, and Krog Corporation's work on the former Trico building.  Business First has details on those and other projects now delayed indefinitely.

Catholic Health feeling the strain more than some.  It has announced salary reductions for senior leadership.  In a statement, President and CEO Mark Sullivan noting that its member hospitals have seen a loss in elective surgeries and most outpatient services - and a drop by as much of 50% in volume at its emergency departments, primary care centers, and other specialty clinics.


Yesterday, Eastern Niagara Hospital announced that on a temporary basis, about 60 employees were being furloughed.

NYSEG has donated $50,000 to FeedMore WNY to support the organization's ongoing response to COVID-19 situation. The donation is part of a $2 million commitment by NYSEG's parent company, AVANGRID, to support national and local programs that are assisting those impacted by COVID-19.
