Another four cent jump in the average price for a gallon of unleaded gas this past week - to $2.81.  That's the price for the Buffalo-Niagara Falls area, according to the AAA.  It reflects an increase of twenty cents per gallon in the past month.  The current price is also two cents higher than the cost one year ago.  

The former Tandoori restaurant site in Amherst is slated to come back to life this summer.  Business First reports Hudson Restaurants of WNY LLC plans to open Celebro - with more of a traditional American menu.


Also from Business First, Fidelis Care is seeking tax breaks with an eye on expansion at its data and operations center in the Crosspoint Business Park.  At least 70 new jobs could come from the projects' approval.  The Amherst IDA holds a public hearing on the plan May 3rd, with a possible vote to follow on May 17th.

Anchor Bar's relocated Transit Road site holds a ribbon-cutting tomorrow at 3:30pm.  The new site at 6635 Transit Road offers seating for 200 in a 5,000 square ft. space.  Upgrades at the new restaurant also include double the TV screens, a larger bar area and a 50-person private party space.

A ribbon-cutting for the second location of Tea Leaf Café is scheduled for this Wednesday at 11:30am.  The shop is at 3835 McKinley Parkway, Suite 4 - near Wild Birds Unlimited.
