At its latest meeting, the ECIDA agreeing to provide tax breaks to a handful of planned projects. According to Business First, the largest of those projects is an expansion by Fisher-Price Inc. of its East Aurora Team Center building. That has a $14 million renovation price tag. Also, Uniland Development Co. can proceed with its transformation of the former Frey the Wheelman on Ellicott Street into the Buffalo High Technology Centre Inc. and Derby Warehousing will expand its Hamburg distribution center.
The NFTA secured $2.5 million in federal DOT funding. Those funds will be used to purchase between 8 and 10 modern, cleaner electric buses, as well as the necessary charging infrastructure.
