The Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus is playing an active role in coronavirus research.  Scientists at its Crystallization Lab in Buffalo are working with non-infectious samples of the virus to help researchers understands the virus' shape and structure, which can then help in understanding how certain drugs can interact with the virus.
