North Tonawanda-based Buffalo Abrasives has been sold to Sak Abrasives of India, according to Business First.  No terms of the deal were disclosed publicly.  

Also from Business First, Breezy Burrito is opening a second location in the former Elmwood Market at the corner of Elmwood and Potomac avenues.  The original location remains at the downtown Expo Market.


Canada-based Sushi-Q will take up a spot in the Walden Galleria food court this spring.  For the grab-and-go sushi cuisine restaurant, the Walden Galleria will mark its 9th location - and first in the U-S market. 

Thirty-six upstate New York hospitals and health centers, including eight in Western New York, last year shared $25.7 million in quality improvement incentives from Univera Healthcare.  The nonprofit health insurer's performance incentive program was established in 2005.  To date, it has awarded more than $282 million to hospitals that have achieved target "clinical" and "patient" safety measures.
