Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - We hear it all the time, that Buffalo is a 'giving community'.  Proof positive was demonstrated Thursday as the WBEN/KISS Cares For Kids RadioThon to benefit Oishei Children's Hospital raised in excess of $213,000 and the tally continues to grow.

The goal for the day-long broadcast on WBEN and KISS 98.5 was $173,000 to enable the hospital to purchase a new high-tech ENT Tower that will improve imaging capabilities for ear, nose and throat conditions.

The #WBENCaresForKids RadioThon continues. Bauerle and Bellavia getting the 411 on the new ENT Tower we hope to raise enough $$ to fund. You have until 6pm to help! Call 716 323 2500 or text WBEN to 51555! pic.twitter.com/p6ncVwww0y

As the so-called 'Mayor of Children's Hospital', William, told Susan Rose and Brian Mazurowski Thursday morning, "Shazam"!  We did it.

Thank you BUFFALO.
