Orchard Park, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Buffalo Bills and Bills fans have a lot to be thankful for as the upcoming season schedule has been released.
Among the highlights, the Bills will be on the road for a national prime time game Thanksgiving night in New Orleans.
As was announced Wednesday morning, the Bills will open the 2021 regular season on Sunday, Sept. 12 against the Steelers with a 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. It will be the 12th-straight year the Bills will open a season in the 1 p.m. ET window, while it's also the second-straight year Buffalo will kick off the season at home.
The following week will see Buffalo head out on the road for the first time against their AFC East rival in the Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. It will be the second-straight season the Bills play the Dolphins on the road in Week 2, with Buffalo earning a 31-28 win in 2020.
After a pair of home games in Weeks 3 and 4 against the Washington Football Team and Texans, respectively, the Bills will get a shot to avenge their loss in the AFC Championship Game to the Chiefs this past January. That game is scheduled to take place on Oct. 10 when they travel back to Kansas City for a Sunday night matchup at Arrowhead Stadium.
