Bills Trample Texans

Buffalo Defense Posts Second Shutout of the Year in 40-0 Victory

Josh Allen

Orchard Park, NY (WBEN) On a rainy day in Orchard Park Sunday, the weather proved to be the biggest opposition for the Buffalo Bills as they upended the Houston Texans 40-0 at Highmark Stadium.

The game opened in a heavy down pour and Josh Allen was intercepted on his first play from scrimmage which probably made a few of the faithful in attendance nervous, especially when the Bills' offense produced just 5 yards in the first two drives.

The defense who posted its second shutout of the season showed a glimpse of what was to come as Tremaine Edmunds intercepted rookie, David Mills. In all, the Bills picked off the young quarterback four times on the day.

Following the interception, Allen and company started to find a rhythm as the quarterback found tight end Dawson Knox on a 25 yard scoring pass. However, the team would have to settle for a total of four field goals from Tyler Bass until Allen found Knox again from one yard out in the third quarter.

Buffalo also got a pair of rushing touchdowns from Zack Moss and back-up quarterback Mitchell Trubisky late in the fourth quarter.

The Bills are now 3-1 and have a big ACF Championship re-match with the Chiefs in Kansas City next Sunday night.
