Pittsburgh, Pa. (KDKA NewsRadio/WBEN) - Some Pittsburgh-area restaurants are taking the Steelers' matchup with the Buffalo Bills this Sunday afternoon very seriously.
Bubba’s Burghers at Southpointe in Canonsburg is banning the sale of Buffalo sauce until after their AFC Wild Card Round matchup in Western New York.
“You can order ANY other flavor, but we will NOT be selling Buffalo sauce all week long!!!”
Bubba, who is also the co-host of "Bubba Show" on KDKA Radio sister station 100.7 Star, says that also includes Buffalo chicken dip.
Buffalo sauce was said to be invented in the 1960s at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York.
The Steelers have played the Bills three times in the playoffs, all being in Pittsburgh in years past. This will be the first time the Steelers will travel to Buffalo for a postseason showdown.
