Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The donations continue to surge into the Patricia Allen Fund at Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo a week after the Buffalo Bills stunning loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Following the loss, fans in Chiefs Kingdom were motivated by social media to begin donating in increments of $13 to the fund which is named after the late grandmother of Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
The phenomenon is gaining national attention as ABC's World News Tonight featured the heartwarming story Friday and donations surged past the $400,000 mark.
