Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - With Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season upon us this weekend, the Buffalo Bills have a short week as they to prepare take on division rival the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.

While the team has a short week and a long injury list, Bills head coach Sean McDermott thinks his team will be ready to go despite the short week.
“Out will be Jordan Phillips, Micah Hyde, and Dane Jackson.” McDermott said during his weekly appearance on the “Extra Point Show”.
When looking at Gabriel Davis, Dawson Knox, Mitch Morse, Jordan Poyer, Ed Oliver, and Tim Settle all were limited McDermott is looking to take it one day at a time.
Both Poyer and Knox have been staples in the secondary for the Bills and with a possibility of both being out McDermott still has confidence in the guy’s stepping up.
“It’s never a good time to be missing guys, that said we have confidence in the guys that are going to be asked to step up in and fill those gaps whether it’s in their position or other positions.” McDermott said.
After the Bills 41-7 victory on Monday Night over the Tennessee Titans McDermott was really impressed in how his defensive line looked without Ed Oliver and Tim Settle.
Going up against an improved quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa, McDermott knows how much talent there is on the Miami offense.
“They’re and explosive offense, they got a lot of speed with the two receivers, and then backs in the backfield and they have the height with Gesicki at the tight end position so very talented offense.”
The weather in Miami in September is always a challenge for opponents, coming in off a short week it is going to be crucial to keep players hydrated during the game.
“We got to do a great job in keeping the water flowing and the Gatorade going and keeping them hydrated throughout the four quarters of the game.” McDermott said.
