BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) "I think they control the AFC and their own destiny," said Sal Capaccio, Bills sideline reporter for WGR Sportsradio 550. "The Bills goal, coming into this season, was to host the AFC Championship game and have the playoffs go through Buffalo. They're in that position now," he said.

Looking ahead, the Bills are in Nashville next Monday night to face the Titans.
"It's not going to be an easy game. Tennessee is going to run the ball really well. And it's a nationally televised game," said Capaccio.

"But the Bills are a better football team. They should be able to take care of business. You hope that they don't have some sort of let-down," he added.

After that, the Bills have a bye week. And then it's the Dolphins, Jaguars, and Jets. The rest of the schedule is so favorable for the Bills that Capaccio says they may not be underdogs for the rest of the year.

"One game may be the exception," said Capaccio. "At Tampa Bay December 12. The way Tampa is playing the Bills will probably be underdogs just one more time for the rest of the season."

"We are in week five," Josh Allen told reporters after the Sunday night game in Kansas City. "Last time I checked four wins doesn't get you into the playoffs. We went into a hostile environment, played a really good team, and ended up with a win. That's our goal each and every week. To come out here and be resilient through the lightning delays, I'm proud of our team for how we handled the situation. Away games are never easy, no matter who you're playing," said Allen.

Capaccio said just because they won this week, doesn't mean anything next week. "Look at Pittsburgh," he said. "They rolled the Bills in week one. Since then the Steelers haven't been the same football team. Anything can happen and the Bills know that."

Could the season opening loss to the Steelers actually have done the Bills a favor? Capaccio admits, it may have, in one sense. It forced the Bills to re-evaluate how they needed to play against certain teams. "A loss is a loss, but I do think it caused the Bills to evaluate and say, we need to do things differently than we did last year. I think they tried to stick with the same game plan as last year but it didn't work out. The Bills had to find different options and ways to win. And that, has definitely helped them."
