Sabres - Bruins still ON after reports of COVID protocol concerns

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - After morning reports that the Buffalo Sabres game against the Boston Bruins at Key Bank Center Thursday evening was postponed due to COVID protocols, now there is word the game is still on. The postponement was initially reported by NHL insider John Shannon, who since tweeted the game is still on.

Earlier the team had to cancel their morning skate on Thursday due to a hockey staff member entering the NHL's COVID-19 Protocols.


The Bruins also canceled their morning skate due to a player entering the NHL's COVID-19 Protocols. Both teams are going through more testing and contact tracing.

700 frontline workers have been invited to the game, marking it the first time fans are to see the Sabres play in Buffalo since March 9, 2020.
