Some of the other marquee home games on the schedule for the Sabres this season include:

- Thursday, Oct. 13: vs. Ottawa Senators - 7 p.m. ET
- Thursday, Nov. 10: vs. Vegas Golden Knights - 7 p.m. EST
- Tuesday, Feb. 21: vs. Toronto Maple Leafs - 7 p.m. EST

The highlight of the season will, arguably, be Jack Eichel's second return to Buffalo, and first return since his comments after losing to the Sabres last season.

Especially with it being early in the season, guaranteeing the Sabres will be playing meaningful games, that Vegas game will likely be a circus.

The biggest negative of this season's schedule is only one home game at KeyBank Center against the Maple Leafs.

Because of the current NHL schedule format, the Sabres play some of their division foes only three times. This year, that is Toronto. Two of their three matchups this season are slated for the Canadian Tire Centre.
