Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550/WBEN) - The National Hockey League has released its 2023-24 regular season schedule for all 32 teams on Tuesday.
The Buffalo Sabres will officially begin their 2023-24 campaign on Thursday, Oct. 12 when they play host to the New York Rangers at KeyBank Center.
The Sabres open their regular season with six home games in the month of October, including a four-game homestand with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Calgary Flames, New York Islanders and Montreal Canadiens.
Buffalo's only home-and-home series this season will come in the first week of November when the team plays the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center on Nov. 1, followed by a matchup on Nov. 3 at KeyBank Center.
Of the 14 games scheduled in the month of November, the Sabres will be on the road for 10 of those games. Buffalo's only home games that month will come against the Flyers, Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins the evening after Thanksgiving.

Buffalo's first road trip comes in mid-December when they travel out West to face the Colorado Avalanche, Vegas Golden Knights and Arizona Coyotes from Wednesday, Dec. 13 to Saturday, Dec. 16.
The Sabres will close out the 2023 calendar with a New Year's Eve road game in Ottawa to face their Atlantic Division rival Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre.
January features Buffalo's longest homestand that spans two weeks and six games in front of the Sabres faithful. Spanning Jan. 9 to Jan. 20, the Sabres will play at KeyBank Center against the Seattle Kraken, Senators, Vancouver Canucks, San Jose Sharks, Chicago Blackhawks and Lightning.
Following their annual three-game trip along the California coast, the Sabres will have a nine-day break between games, which includes NHL All-Star Weekend taking place on Feb. 2-3 in Toronto.
Upon Buffalo's return from the break, they will open February with a four-game homestand spanning Feb. 6 to Feb. 15 with the Dallas Stars, St. Louis Blues, Los Angeles Kings and Florida Panthers.
The Sabres will official welcome back Jack Eichel and the defending Stanley Cup champions to Buffalo on Saturday, March 2 with a 7 p.m. ET faceoff at KeyBank Center.
Following Buffalo's four-game road trip to the Pacific Northwest and through Western Canada, the Sabres return home for a five-game homestand towards the end of the season, where they will host the Senators, New Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs, Washington Capitals and Flyers between March 27 and April 5.
Four of the final five games of the 2023-24 season will take place on the road, with Buffalo's last regular season home game scheduled for Thursday, April 11 against the Capitals.
Buffalo will close the regular season out with a two-game road trip through the Sunshine State against the Panthers and Lightning on Saturday, April 13 and Monday, April 15, respectively.
This season will feature 10 early games for the Sabres on home ice with faceoffs earlier than 7 p.m. ET.
