Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) – On Thursday the NHL released its 2021-22 schedule. The Buffalo Sabres will open at home on Oct. 14 against the Montreal Canadiens.

Buffalo will continue at home against the Arizona Coyotes, Vancouver Canucks and Boston Bruins before hitting the road. Oct. 23 in New Jersey.


Buffalo's first game in Seattle against the Kraken is Nov. 4

The New Year's Day game is in Boston this season.

If the Olympic break happens, the Sabres will have just three games, all on the road in February. They'll play the Philadelphia Flyers at home on Jan. 22 and won't play in Buffalo again until March 4 against the Minnesota Wild.

There is an Olympic Break included, but the league still hasn't committed its players to the Olympics. That break is Feb. 7 through the Feb. 22.

The Sabres play all through the month of April with the final game April 29 at home against the Chicago Black Hawks.

The Toronto Maple Leafs make their return to Buffalo on Nov. 13, but the Sabres don't play in Toronto until March 2.

If you'd like to see the Kraken, they'll be in Buffalo on Nov. 29.
