Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Buffalo Sabres have placed three more players on the NHL's COVID-19 Protocol list. That makes it five players to enter the league's protocols over the past two days.
The three players to enter COVID-19 protocols on Tuesday are forwards Alex Tuch, Peyton Krebs, and Andres Bjork.
The Sabres placed forward Kyle Okposo and defenseman Casey Fitzgerald on the league's COVID-19 protocol list on Monday. This comes after three players - Zemgus Girgensons, Dylan Cozens and Mark Jankowski - all returned to practice on Monday from the protocols.
With the increase in players entering COVID-19 protocols in Buffalo, this could jeopardize Buffalo's next game, which is scheduled for Thursday night against the San Jose Sharks at KeyBank Center.
