Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550/WBEN) - The Buffalo Bills unveiled a new look for the upcoming 2026 season on Monday, releasing the new "Nickel City" alternate uniform that will be worn, at least, once this year.

Leaning heavily into the city's nickname as the "Nickel City", this new uniform combination features a "nickel gray" foundation with both the jersey and the pants, with a blue collar on the jersey to pay homage to the blue-collar workers that Western New York has taken pride in over the years and carrying over into the future.

The jersey will feature the Bills' primary Charging Buffalo logo on the left side of the upper chest, while also featuring the blue and red trim on the numbers on the front and back of the jersey. However, the team is going with a two-tone striping concept both on the arms of the jersey and down the sides of the pants.

Perhaps the most notable integration with this uniform combination is the usage of a new helmet that the Bills have deemed the "Charge Helmet". The team says the new helmet "brings the Charging Buffalo to life with that signature horn, eye and charging streak prominently displayed on a royal blue shell with a micro-metallic flake finish and additional metallic blue accents."

According to the Bills, the team is permitted by the NFL to wear their alternate uniforms both at home and on the road. However, the Bills have yet to specify which game the uniforms will debut.

The Bills officially open training camp this Wednesday at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford.

The 2026 regular season kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 13 in Houston against the Texans, while the Bills will play their first home game on Thursday, Sept. 17 against the Detroit Lions at the new Highmark Stadium.
