Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Another local brewery is closing its doors as Williamsville's 12 Gates Brewing Company announced on Facebook they will be shutting down after 9 years in business. The company thanked their customers in its Facebook post, saying "As we close this chapter, we'll hold on to the good times, and we hope you do too. Cheers to the future and to all the friendships we've made along the way."
The Sabres will celebrate Black History Month during tonight's game against the Anaheim Ducks by featuring several Black-owned businesses and community organizations. Crenshaw's Chicken & Waffles, Meraki Collective, Nikki's Chocolates, Radah Baked Goods and Simply Loaded will be setup throughout the concourse. Bricks Collaborative, a group that supports food entrepreneurs, will also be there to talk with fans.
Sterling Tap & Wurst will reopen in the spring under new ownership, with the Sterling Place Tavern name coming back. According to Buffalo Business First, the name change will also bring changes to the menu, including a possible steak sandwich as a tribute to the Old Pink.
