Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The five winners of this year's 43North startup competition have been chosen, with each receiving $1 million. Brooklyn-based finance company CoverRight, Buffalo's FoodNerd, Heron AI and Spiky.ai of Massachusetts, and Rarebird out of San Francisco were the winners. The Buffalo Zoo is celebrating Halloween this year with two events, one called Boo Bash and the other Boo at the Zoo. Boo Bash is next Friday the 18th. Guests 21 and older can wear costumes and enjoy cocktails. Boo at the Zoo happens October 19th and 26th. That's a family freindly trick-or-treat trail for kids ages 2-12.
The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its 78th annual Community Awards Dinner. The Chamber is looking for nominations for Citizen, Educator, Business, Community Service Oganization and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Nominations will be accepted until Wednesday, November 6th.
