Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The 5/14 Memorial Foundation has put out a Request for Qualifications for construction firms interested in building the organization's 5/14 Living Memorial and Healing Center at 1034 Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo. The project has an $18 million budget with construction projected to cost $15 million. The Foundation's next public meeting date is set for April 7th at the Apollo Media Center on Jefferson in Buffalo.
Six Flags Darien Lake will host a hiring event next Wednesday the 11th through Friday the 13th ahead of the 2026 season. In-person interviews will go from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. both days at Six Flags Darien's HR Offices at 1501 Sumner Road in Corfu. The park has 1,500 positions open, including lifeguards, ride operators, food & beverage workers, security and more. Darien Lake opens May 15th.
Fiber-optic internet provider Greenlight Networks is expanding to 3,000 more homes and business in Niagara Falls. Construction is already underway in several neighborhoods with service expected to be active this spring.
