Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - ACV Auctions, which is one of the most successful 43North winners, is being sold to Dallas-based Copart for around $1.9 billion. The sale was unanimously approved by both companies' boards of directors and is expected to close by the end of 2026. ACV's leadership will remain in place and the company will operate as an independent subsidiary of Copart. ACV is an online car auction marketplace for buyers and sellers.
Decked Out WNY is partnering with Lenco and Fiberon for their 6th Annual Veteran Deck Giveaway. A local veteran will receive a brand new deck with Lenco providing the lumber and Fiberon supplying the decking and railings. Nominations open October 7 and close November 4, with the winner being selected on Veterans Day.
Customs and Border Protection says it made 179 on-the-spot job offers during last week's DHS job fair in Buffalo. The agency says many veterans attended, hoping to continue with a career in public service.
