The current local gas cost according to the AAA is $3.01 for a gallon of unleaded gas in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls area. That's up one cent from last week.
Darcy McGee's is getting a makeover. Business First reporting that a name change and concept change are involved. With a fall reopening planned, the eatery will be called Banshee Irish Pub. It will be re-done as a traditional Irish pub with restaurant seating for 100. It will also feature live Irish music on the patio and traditional Irish sports on the TVs.
A slight change in plans also for a West Seneca restaurant/brewery project. According to Business First, The Ridge will open in February at 555 Orchard Park Road at the former Funk Lawn Care facility. The ownership group has signed a service agreement with Steelbound Brewery of Ellicottville.
The Emergency Department at Sisters Hospital, St. Joseph Campus on Harlem Road re-opens today. With vaccinations increasing and COVID cases dwindling, the hospital will no longer serve exclusively as a COVID facility.
