AT&T has expanded its broadband coverage in the region, by adding cell sites in the city of Buffalo - both downtown and in University Heights. New sites were also added in Lancaster, Lockport, Niagara Falls and Ransomville. The enhancements bring Band 14 spectrum to the area, which is set aside by the government specifically for FirstNet.
Andrea T. Manyon, MD, clinical professor with the Department of Family Medicine in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo is now the chair of the department. She had been serving in that role on an interim basis.
