BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - Iconic Buffalo bagel shop Bagel Jay's has been sold, with all three locations changing to Bruegger's Bagels stores. All Bagel Jay's locations will close today as part of the transition process. CEO Jay Gershberg in a statement yesterday saying after 47 years of operating bagel shops in Buffalo, it's time to hang up the apron and retire. Bagel Jay's has been in business since 2001.
Vishay Dale Electronics is planning an $8.2 million expansion for its Wheatfield based plant. The company is asking the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency for $560,000 in tax exemptions for the expansion, per Buffalo Business First.
