BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York says it will cover all costs associated with FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccines for its fully insured Commercial and Medicare members. The local health insurer will also continue to cover all copays, coinsurance and deductibles for medically appropriate COVID-19 testing and treatment through March 31st of 2021. That extends a benefit set to expire at the end of the year.
Tops Markets, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will be able to give out doses of the COVID vaccine through its pharmacies. Still to be determined is how and when that program will begin.
In its annual list of the region's top doctors, Buffalo Spree magazine recognized 121 physicians connected to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center across 33 different specialties. The list is compiled using a peer survey of Western New York physicians.
