Bidco Marine Group was recently awarded a $1.6 million contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District. For its part, Bidco will be repairing about 78 feet of the existing seawall and installing baffles designed to reduce water velocity in order to support migration of the emerald shiner, considered a vital food fish in Lake Erie. Work begins this summer with completion expected by early winter. The Buffalo District will monitor the project for one year following construction.
