Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens for a $31 million expansion this morning. 14,000 square feet of space will be renovated and more than 16,000 square feet of additional space will be built. The highlight of the project is over 90,000 square feet of renovated and new outdoor gardens. The project will be finished by 2027.
Vidler's in East Aurora is celebrating its 95th anniversary with cake, cotton candy, live music and more. It's been an exciting few weeks for the store, as Hallmark just recently finished filming scenes for its Buffalo Bills Christmas movie there.
The Nickel Plate, a restaurant, bar and gift shop in Buffalo's Niagara Frontier Food Terminal, was awarded the Outstanding Community Partner award from Buffalo Public Schools for their work in providing job training to students. The company's owners Ty Reynolds and Nick Smith previously owned Mazurek's Bakery in Buffalo.
