BPO sues Elderwood

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra has filed a lawsuit against nursing home company Elderwood for failing to pay for a two-year corporate sponsorship, per Buffalo Business First. The BPO is seeking $95,500 for sponsorship of the Orchestra's Coffee Concert Series from 2021 to 2023. The BPO says it received just $4,500 from Elderwood.

A new dispensary called 82-J has opened on Hertel in Buffalo. Buffalo Business First reports owners Omar Price, Nick Hall and Ron Atkinson had been granted a license for the dispensary in 2021, but opening was delayed by changes in regulations and court battles. The dispensary is located at the former Mulligan's nightclub, which was a hot spot in the 70s. A grand opening is set for this Thursday, December 12th.

Gas prices dropped 2 cents in Buffalo over the last week, coming in at $3.16 per gallon Monday morning. The national average is creeping closer to $3.00 at $3.02 per gallon.
