Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The owner of the Buffalo Grand Hotel has been fined $600,000 and ordered to pay back $13.1 million to investors by a government agency in Ontario, per Buffalo Business First. The Ontario Securities Commission determined that developer Harry Stinson violated securities laws by not following several guidelines. The hotel has been closed since December of 2021 following a fire.
Niagara County Community College has announced a twenty member search committee for the school's next president. Board of trustees chair Kevin Clark will be in charge of the search.
A new Tim Horton's branch is being developed in Clarence at the former Community Bank at 8503 Main Street. The site was acquired this past summer by Benderson Development. The project still needs approvals from the Town of Clarence.
