Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Canisius High School has cut the ribbon on the new Madden Center for Global Learning. The project was supported by a $2.5 million donation from Michael Madden, a Canisius grad and owner of the investment firm BlackEagle Partners. The 1,500 sq. ft. facility features new learning spaces, a stock ticker and a massive interactive video screen that will be used to connect students with other Jesuit schools.
Pete's Place Food Shop in Buffalo is opening a second downtown location at 500 Seneca Street, per Buffalo Business First. The new location is on the third floor of the multi-use apartment and office complex. The original Pete's Place Food Shop is inside Swan Tower at 290 Main Street.
Gas prices fell 3 cents in Buffalo over the last week at $3.48 per gallon. The national average for a gallon of gas dropped 6 cents at $3.27.
