Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Canisius University and Syracuse University are forming a partnership centered on the schools' engineering and computer science programs. Canisius students that get a bachelor's degree in science or mathematics will get direct admission to master's programs at Syracuse's College of Engineering and Computer Science. Areas of study include chemical engineering, computer science, cybersecurity and many others.
A grand opening celebration for Amherst's new Dick's House of Sport will be held the weekend of March 13th, with some special guests attending. Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins will do a meet and greet on March 14th, followed by running back James Cook on the 15th. Dick's House of Sport is a new spin on Dick's Sporting Good's traditional retail locations, featuring a rock climbing wall and batting cages. The store is located at 4200 Ridge Lea Road.
Danielle Bergman has been promoted to VA Western NY Healthcare System Executive Director. Bergman will oversee operations at Buffalo's Veteran's Hospital and more across the region.
