
Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Catholic Health held open interviews this morning for full-time night surgical & emergency room RNs at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo. New hires are eligible for bonuses of up to $28,000. Just two days ago, workers at the hospital voted to go on strike if contract negotiations with Catholic Health go south.
It was three months ago when Osteria 166 announced it was closing, but owner Nick Pitillo has opted to keep the downtown restaurant open for the time being, Thursday through Saturday. Pitillo told Business First there's been more activity downtown lately and the start of the Bills season has helped business.
The Ralph Wilson Park Conservancy is trying to bring a free outdoor concert series to the park beginning next year. The Conservancy is on to the public voting phase for a Levitt Music Series Grant totaling $120,000 over three years. The money would allow the park to host up to 10 concerts a year.
