Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The City of Buffalo has selected Long Island-based Albanese Organization to develop 11 acres of land around the NFTA's LaSalle Station. Development calls for new housing, retail and gathering spaces. The next steps are finalizing the agreement with the developer and working on design and planning.
Rachel's Mediterranean Grill is being sued by a former employee who claims he's owed almost $8,500 in unpaid wages. Timothy Walton says he was hired as a graphic designer and social media manager and was never given full pay between May of 2024 and March of 2025. It's the latest legal filing against the restaurant, which recently faced separate lawsuits in Rochester, another from the Buffalo Bills and a third by a Cheektowaga-based construction company.
Rosina Foods hosts a hiring event today from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. at 170 French Road in Cheektowaga. 150 jobs need to be filled as the company doubles the size of its West Seneca meatball production plant. Construction is set to finish early next year.
