Cheektowaga's Niagara Power Transformer is looking at September 1 to start work on a $71 million, 96,000-square-foot expansion along Dale and Anderson Roads. According to Business First, the plan is to finish the project by June 1st, 2028. The expansion is expected to create 73 jobs.
Tops' annual United Way campaign begins August 23 at select locations. Shoppers will be able to donate $1 at checkout or round up their change. The campaign has raised more than $674,000 for the United Way since 2014.
