Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Early enrollment for D'Youville University's College of Medicine has been strong as the school's inaugural class is nearly 2/3 full. Renovation of the school's future home at 285 Delaware in Buffalo is set to begin in early spring. The program starts next fall at D'Youville's main campus. Students will then move to the dedicated medical school building in the fall of '27.
Former Buffalo Mayor and current Batavia Downs and Western OTB President & CEO Byron Brown has been named Chairperson of the New York Gaming Association. Brown just started in his roles with Batavia Downs and Western OTB last year. He's the first President & CEO of Western OTB to serve as the Gaming Association's chairman.
Tops has launched its yearly Check Out Hunger Campaign, which assists food banks from here in Western New York to Vermont. You can give back by donating $2, $3, or $5, or rounding up your change at the checkout counter. The campaign runs through Saturday, February 7th.
