Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - East Aurora is a finalist in Parade Magazine's "America's Favorite Small Towns" competition. The town was featured in the May 29th edition of Parade with spotlights on Vidler's, the Roycroft Campus, Fisher-Price, the Aurora Theatre and more. Canalside will host the New York State Craft Brewers Festival this Saturday, June 13th. 50+ breweries from across the state will be there, including Buffalo's New York Beer Project and Resurgence Brewing Company.

Pittsburgh-based Millie's Homemade Ice Cream is coming to The BLVD shopping plaza in Amherst. On top of ice cream, the scoop shop will also offer gelatos, waffle cones, shakes and sundaes. Opening day is Thursday, June 18th.
The Hike for Mental Wellness takes place this Sunday, June 14th at Chestnut Ridge Park from 10am-2pm. The event is hosted by the Connor Cared Memorial Fund and aims to raise awareness for mental health, including support programs and resources for families and individuals struggling mental illness.
